I purchased two Compaq laptops for Christmas 2008. Four months into using my laptop, the screen spontaneously cracked. I hardly took it anywhere and when I did I used a heavy duty carry case. HP/Compaq took it into consideration for repair, at my expense. $429 to replace the screen, I opted out. The second pc has a glitch where the screen has to be repositioned every 30 minutes or so when it goes all white.
After fighting HP on the first pc I have no will to do so on the second. They don’t live up to the “Built to Last” sticker on the keyboard. HP does not live up to their warranty. My 16 family members have agreed to never by HP/Compaq products ever again.

The description of this product indicates an integrated webcam is included however I’ve order 2 and this is NOT THE CASE!!!!

I am extremely pleased with this laptop purchase and the excellent and thorough customer service issued by HP from delivery onward. I am not, in this concise review going to offer my perceptions of the outstanding technical ability of this unit due to space considerations. Suffice to say HP has been the leader in home and business computing for many years now and known widely and internationally as a top flight engineering and scientific plus corporation. To acquire a sophisticated unit from HP, having purchased this laptop myself through this site at a miraculous and more than competitive price point can only be considered by the customer to be a win/win situation. As someone owning a home business, reliability and functionality is of the utmost importance. My wife as well, organizing family sports events also profits from the accuracy that HP offers with this Compaq Presario laptop.

This system is a wonderful system. I purchased it for a friend and he has told me that he has had a wonderful experience with it. It has good performance and a great deal of system power. The specs do him well since he is a DJ and is now free of the system lock-ups in the middle of a session which was a common thing to experience with his previous system. Very lovely. Compliments to HP/Compaq.
