What the??? This is nuts. Price went UP $100 since yesterday. Aren’t prices on technology supposed to drop as time passes not go up? Wouldnt we expect to see at least some price discounts/sales for the holidays? Yet, amzn has now decided to UP the price on this model $100?!
We all know the price will drop again, so why would anybody pay the extra $100? Why would amzn even raise the price knowing that evberybody that buys this will be asking for some $$’s back or simply returning it if that is what they need to do in order to get the lower price.
Nothing against this computer. Just cant figure out what amzn is doing other then making things more difficult to buy from them due to the constantly changing prices of almost eveything they sell.
I will NOT pay $100 more for this unit and I think anybody that does will see it or something with even better specs for far less in the coming weeks. LAPTOPS with excellent specs are on sale all over the place right now.

I purchased this not long ago and had to wait for HP to create the software driver for my 1 yr. old HP laserjet 1022 printer so it will run on Win7. They finally created a driver but it does not work. I’ve wasted countless aggravating hours and have gone to many message boards only to discover printer problems are a common meme. I still cannot print anything and cannot afford to buy another printer. Can you believe HP cannot properly support its own printers?!?? I will not buy HP brand products again!

Purchased as a Christmas gift for the better-half as this system is her first and only computer. For a person who never turned-on a computer in her life, (complete novice) she is very happy with the ease of operation. HP has made it very simple for a novice to operate this laptop with all the learning tools embedded into the operating system. I would personally find this intrusive……or “omnipresent” on the part of HP. They (HP) prepare you to utilize all of their Spyware; Adware and Malware programs built/installed into the operating software. But, it turned out to be a blessing in disguise for a complete beginner to learn how to use and operate a computer for the first time. This laptop is comparatively very fast with its dual core 2.2 GHZ Intel processor, 4 GB of DDR3 ram, crisp and clear HD 15.6 LED screen, 320GB SATA Hard Drive, Lightscribe Super Multi 8X DVD±R/RW disc drive, Intel Wi-Fi Link 1000BGN, Bluetooth wireless technology built-in and the Intel Graphics Media Accelerator 4500MHD card. For the price you could not go wrong and even got a $50.00 rebate from HP. I deleted some of the more intrusive software (the ones inducing you to purchase more HP products) this actually speeded up the system as it cleared some of the registry/memory. Just remember if you purchase any base computer from a known manufacture, they will all install their own versions of Adware software. The only way to get around this is to have a computer custom built to your own specs. Still I would recommend this HP Pavilion DV6-1350US Espresso Laptop to anyone looking for a reasonably fast system that is not going to break the bank.

We got this laptop for my son’s birthday. Mostly picked this one because of the specs on it and after doing research the HP laptops seemed to be rated pretty good especially the Dv series.
Although I haven’t used it myself, my son just loves it. He uses it for school work, internet and dvd’s and tells me it’s fast as “H”, lol. He can do plenty of things at the same time. He says he can play games pretty good, he’s not a big “online” gamer through his laptop he usually plays XBOX360 life through his xbox and tv, but he plays just regular downloaded computer games (cd or online). Graphics are fine and speed is great. Overall his experience with his laptop was my cue to buy the 1360US which I reviewed also, however only on customer service of HP which may not be a totally fair review, but HP really need to work on their customer service. But then I’ve had other brands (gateway, Sony, Compaq and customer service stinks no matter what brand you have it seems).
Overall assessment:
Pros:
-Pretty (the eye needs something too, lol)
-Fast
-Great battery life (but because it’s a 12 cell it’s really chunky)
-Will appeal to a lot of people with different needs
-Price
Cons:
-Little bulky
-Battery is huge (inconvenient for hauling it around)
-Shiny surface (hard to keep clean)
-Power inlet (why oh why do so many manufacturers put it on the right side with a straight (instead of bend) plug). In my opinion it would be more convenient on the left side or the back.
